Here’s a chance to join an established physical therapy team providing outpatient and inpatient physical therapy services at a regional healthcare center located just 45 minutes from Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. Our PT services are provided to patients who have impairments, disabilities, functional limitations or changes in health status resulting from surgery, illness, disease, or other causes.
Hiring for a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carries out the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
- Observe all safe treatment procedures and good body mechanics for personal safety and execution of patient treatment.
- Correct interpretation of physician orders.
- Supervise physical therapy technicians.
- Complete daily patient notes within 24 hours of the conclusion of treatment.
- Discuss policies, procedures and decisions for departmental improvement.
- Maintain professional standards.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Graduate from an accredited university’s Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Must have a valid and current North Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant license.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New graduates welcome. One year of experience preferred.
WORKING HOURS:
Outpatient clinic hours for first shift are 7:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Thursday and 7:00-11:00 am on Friday.
Outpatient clinic hours for second shift are 7:30-5:00 pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00-12:00 pm on Friday.
Inpatient coverage is on a rotating basis with other departmental physical therapists when the inpatient therapist is out. Also, responsible for inpatient coverage on a rotating basis every 5th weekend. Weekend hours will vary depending on the current inpatient census.
