SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of accounts payable, ensuring proper chart of accounts, customer and location.
- Daily Treasury Management and Reporting.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
- Process quarterly sales & use tax and commercial activity tax.
- Assist in compilation of monthly/quarterly/ annual financial & management reports.
- Maintain and analyze insurance and loan spreadsheets.
- Assist with data/analytics reporting (benchmarking, contracting, ACA & ERISA compliance, etc.).
- Assist with Business Modeling, Scorecards, and Operational Dashboard Development.
- Assist with payroll processing
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in healthcare and private practice accounting.
- Provide direct assistance to finance.
- Work independently on special projects; professionally interact with internal and external business associates and vendors.
- Prioritizes issues for review using knowledge of practice and business; uses range of technology to complete work in the most expedient way.
- Review reports, other data and compile in executive review format; comply with confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Assists in handling confidential business matters; provides design input and assist with implementing procedures.
- Shares technology knowledge to build capability with other team members.
- Provides information to others through various communication channels regarding business matters.
- Demonstrates outstanding organizational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
- NextGen experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in healthcare and private practice finance and accounting.
