Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup, on Pediatric and Adult Patients
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
- Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
- Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience with dental software platforms, Dentrix Ascend preferred but we can train..
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to oral health.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for working with children is a plus!
- Skilled in patient care, patient assessment, and client communication to foster trust and understanding.
- Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging, and electronic health record (EHR) management.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, healthcare infection prevention standards, and HIPAA compliance management.
- Ability to work efficiently in general dentistry or specialized pediatric dentistry settings while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $45.01 - $51.21 per hour
