Whether you’re early in your culinary career or bring years of experience, this position offers the chance to do meaningful work alongside a skilled team. Dietary Cook Responsibilities: Prepare meals, desserts, and snacks for all diets according to company standards. Make independent decisions when necessary and handle interactions with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and agencies tactfully. Exhibit leadership and work harmoniously with all staff members. Follow oral and written instructions and maintain cleanliness and order in food service areas. Seek out and incorporate new dietary methods and principles. Serve meals that are both palatable and presentable, adhering to health code requirements. Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions. Participate in continuing education programs. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For: Dietary Cook Experience and Education: At least 17 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. At least one month of applicable experience or training. Skills: Ability to effectively able to read and interpret documents. Ability to communicate effectively. Basic mathematical skills. Ability to reason and problem solve. Basic technical skills. Attributes: Culinary Skills Sanitation and safety awareness. Attentional to detail Compassionate and empathetic Adaptable Problem solving. Teamwork. Communication skills.
