Role Description The Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Southern Region, Iceland, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of behavioral health and Veterans services programs. This role includes managing program staff, coordinating scheduling and workloads, and ensuring that services are delivered in alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The Program Manager monitors program performance, tracks outcomes, and prepares reports, while actively identifying opportunities to improve service quality and client experience. The position involves collaborating with internal teams and community partners, supporting staff development through coaching and training, and addressing emergent issues to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. The Program Manager also participates in budgeting and resource planning, contributes to strategic initiatives, and upholds ColumbiaCare’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of program leadership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in program management or coordination within behavioral health, social services, or a related human services field.
- Strong leadership and staff supervision skills, including coaching, performance management, and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency in organizing workflows, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, interdisciplinary teams, and community partners.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles, trauma-informed care, and person-centered approaches (or willingness to learn and apply these frameworks).
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and active listening.
- Comfort with using computers and software for scheduling, electronic records, reporting, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public administration, or related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
