About the Role
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building large-scale industrial machinery using prints, schematics, and verbal instructions. This role involves advanced mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly. You will also be expected to contribute to troubleshooting, system adjustment, and continuous improvement efforts. This is a critical role within the Assembly team where precision, safety, and teamwork matter every day.
What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- Assemble, wire, and troubleshoot industrial machinery systems
- Use volt meters, power tools, and diagnostic equipment as needed
- Measure and layout components using tape measure, levels, and layout tools
- Drill, tap, and mount components with precision
- Wire switches and electrical boxes to specification
- Identify and correctly use a variety of fasteners (SAE, metric, fine, coarse)
- Work at height using ladders, platforms, and scissor lifts
- Perform mechanical adjustments for smooth operation of systems
- Participate in the creation of engineering change requests (ECRs)
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and jib cranes with proper certification
- Follow Standard Work Instructions and safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members and support mentorship when needed
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- Five or more years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or equipment assembly preferred
- Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and electrical schematics
- Basic troubleshooting ability and layout experience
- Understanding of proper lubrication selection and usage
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to take on new responsibilities and support multiple projects
