Job Title: Back Office Team Leader
Overview:
The Back office team leader works under the Milwaukie office manager to assure the efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. This position assists the office manager. The Team leader works as part of a health care team that includes clinic providers, managers, back and front office staff, health educators and social workers to provide comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:

- Perform all functions of a medical assistant.
- Rooming patients according to policy
- Prepping procedure trays
- Discharging patients from procedures
- Follow intake process prior to procedures
- Processing prior authorizations to insurance companies
- Assist office manager, supervise work assignments and performance of clinical staff. This includes input for performance reviews and corrective action plans as needed.
- Oversee and train new and existing clinical staff.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the team through weekly individual meetings.
- Review charts, lab and imaging results, and other documentation for completeness and to assess follow-up as needed.
- Perform other administrative tasks and clinical care as assigned by the office manager.
- Oversee dispensary logs and storage to maintain quality assurance.
- Coordinate the inventory, ordering and supply stock maintenance of medical supplies
- Provide sick/vacation leave back up for clinical staff as necessary.
- Assist with other administrative projects and tasks as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by office manager.
Minimum Position Requirements:
Education & Experience: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience in an outpatient medical clinic, hospital, or medical office setting required.
Special Skills/Equipment: Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory duties.
