TITLE: Adult, Industry & Work-Based Learning Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant certification or working toward certification in Cooperative Education/Work-Based Learning (PA PDE Co-Op certification preferred); Prior experience in Career & Technical Education (CTE) preferred.

REPORTS TO: Administrative Director / Principal

JOB GOAL: To perform the functions of his/her position in such a way as to provide the best possible educational services for the students and bridge the gap between the school community and industry.

PERFORMANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and manage adult education schedules (fall, winter, spring, summer) based on community needs.
2. Lead the supervision, orientation, and in-service training of adult education teachers, including substitute pool assignment.
3. Oversee the development, implementation, and annual revision of all adult and work-based learning curricula.
4. Assist instructors with instructional strategies and classroom support.
5. Monitor classroom environments and be available during evening classes to support staff and students.
6. Coordinate and implement customized industry training and Cooperative/Work-Based Learning (WBL) programs.
7. Oversee enrollment and maintain accurate attendance, placement, and student progress records.
8. Interview senior students, assess career readiness, and match students to suitable cooperative placements, internships, or training opportunities.
9. Support students with work adjustments, transition planning, career exploration, and employment readiness skills.
10. Assist with administering relevant assessments, including NOCTI/NIMS and eligibility for Skills Certificates.
11. Serve as the primary liaison to local businesses, industries, and community organizations.
12. Develop and maintain productive employer partnerships to expand customized training, co-op placements, internships, and other WBL experiences.
13. Promote the school's adult and work-based programs to businesses and the broader community.
14. Maintain industry advisory committees and participate in community workforce initiatives.
15. Prepare and distribute adult education catalogs, flyers, brochures, and schedule updates across media and digital platforms.
16. Update and maintain adult education information on the school's website and other communication channels.
17. Assist with recruitment and career awareness activities in collaboration with guidance and outreach staff.
18. Prepare comprehensive reports for school leadership, Joint Operating Committee (JOC), and state agencies (e.g., PIMS, CATS, PDE).
19. Maintain detailed records and ensure program compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines.
20. Assist in budget preparation and administration for adult and WBL programs.
21. Submit monthly and year-end reports on cooperative and WBL activities.
22. Support guidance, recruitment, and career development initiatives.
23. Provide feedback from employers to instructional staff for continuous program improvement.24. Plan and coordinate cooperative employer appreciation events and student success recognition materials.
25. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Administrative Director and/or Principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary as per current Bargaining Agreement.

SELECTION: Appointment shall be by the Joint Operating Committee following the recommendation of the Administrative Director.

EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated by the Administrator Director or Principal.
