The Volunteer and Gift Shop Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the CMH volunteer program as well as promoting and ensuring a profitable and enjoyable retail experience at CMH gift shop and resource center locations. Coordination of the volunteer program includes recruitment, onboarding, training, ongoing competency, staffing, and policy compliance of volunteers. The gift shop coordination includes buying, merchandising, marketing, and budgeting of gift shop resources.
Job Requirements
Knowledge Of/Skill/Ability To
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 50 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.

Job Requirements
Knowledge Of/Skill/Ability To
- Knowledge of retail coordination including buying and merchandising
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work with volunteers, visitors, and patients from various backgrounds in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Knowledge of auxiliary and/or retail finances
- Work independently
- Work towards or completion of Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) preferred
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience with hospital volunteer programs preferred
- Gift shop and/or retail experience preferred.
