Position Summary: The Registration Specialist is responsible for ensuring that
Patient Access technology and training needs are met by working with vendors
and front end staff to assist with the development, implementation, and testing
of new technology. Responsible for providing training and technical support as
well as assisting in the creation and editing of end user documentation.
Plans and leads training for areas relating to Patient Access processes.
Ensures Access personnel are current on department education program
requirements.
Position Qualifications:
Experience.
At least 3 years hospital or healthcare experience in Patient Access, Business
Office, IT or Education
Prior experience developing, instituting and leading training programs
required
Prior experience selecting, implementing and supporting revenue cycle
information systems required
Knowledge, Skills Abilities
General understanding of the revenue cycle process in a healthcare setting
Strong analytic abilities with demonstrated aptitude for quantitative analysis
and attention to detail
Ability to manage, organize, prioritize, and multitask
Ability to identify, analyze and effectively address complex issues
Ability to establish positive working relationships with a variety or
individuals and promote collaboration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Salary Range: $27.81 – $48.94
