Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Service or related field preferred.
Appropriate experience can substitute for a Bachelor s Degree.
Experience: Experience is preferred. Internships may be considered.
Responsible to: Director of Psychiatry. Position can be re-assigned within the
hospital as needs warrant.
Responsible for: None
Summary: This position works in the Psychiatry Department on M5A and the
Emergency Department Psychiatric Consult Service to assist clinical and nursing
staff in patient disposition. The Discharge Coordinator will take primary
direction from the Psychiatric Clinician or Social Worker.
On the Inpatient Unit, the Discharge Coordinator supports all aspects of the
Patient Discharge as directed by the patient s Social Worker.
Salary Range: $21.63 – $33.99
