Summary: Reporting to the Columbia PSI General Manager, the Parts & Upgrades Sales Rep will lead the aftermarket sales activities of CPSI, focused on the promotion and sale of parts as well as targeting existing client systems that will benefit from system and equipment modifications to improve productivity. This role will interface with channel partners and end customers and requires close internal coordination with the Sales, Applications, Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Marketing teams to drive the successful sale and implementation of various aftermarket projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for all Parts and Upgrade sales activities for Columbia PSI products.
•    Develop and execute a strategic business plan to meet or exceed annual sales, gross margins, and operating income targets. The focus should be on outbound activities targeting high-potential customers for Parts and Upgrades.
•    Manage and maintain interaction with existing accounts, channel partners, and independent agents to build a positive working relationship and rapport.
•    Respond to customer inquiries promptly. Identify customer needs and develop action plans for meeting those needs.
•    Ensure all data necessary to evaluate Upgrade projects is collected from the customers to ensure expectations are exceeded in all interactions with the company.
•    Provide the customer with the product line technical and commercial information necessary to obtain a purchase order, including preparing proposals, presentations, and negotiating final purchase agreement price and terms.
•    Collaborate with project managers, marketing, applications, engineering, and service support personnel to meet project objectives and customer expectations.
•    Post-sale, ensure all pertinent information is complete to initiate order fulfillment and release, including collecting customer specifications, obtaining product samples necessary for the product line, and approving final drawings after end user agreement.           
•    Provide market intelligence to the Sales Team, Service Team, Senior Staff, and others by understanding market/industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape for Parts and Upgrades.
•    Utilizes our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application to manage customer relationships. 
•    Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
•    Assist in developing product promotional materials, i.e., brochures, literature, email campaigns, and sales tools to communicate our product advantages effectively.
•    Participate in meetings as required to promote and support the sales and marketing objectives.
•    Provide input into initial and ongoing product development based on understanding end customer needs.

•    Technical Expertise: Understanding of basic equipment requirements.  
•    Columbia PSI Product Knowledge is extremely valuable and major “plus”.
Skills:
•    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.  Creativity and innovation encouraged.
•    Process Development: Collaboratively create, implement, and document/communicate efficient business processes on an ongoing basis. 
•    Team Orientation & Management Skills: Team player with collaborative mindset – invested in the overall success of the organization.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•    Leadership: Ability to develop, manage, and lead product management functions within an organization. Ability to translate objectives into direction for self and others, particularly in ambiguous situations within fast changing internal and external environments.
•    Problem Solver: Strong problem solver with a flexible/dynamic mindset and ability to identify and fill gaps.
•    Technical Writing/Materials: Ability to develop/package clear and robust technical materials to fulfill end customer and channel partner technical information needs.
•    Communication: Excellent communication (written/verbal) and listening skills. 
•    Customer Orientation: Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal groups, channel partners, and end customers.
•    Performance Measurement: Ability to understand the business implications of key technical application metrics.
•    Capable of working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
•    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions to executives, managers, partners and customers.

Education and/or Experience:                               
•    Education:  Minimum of a two year degree in engineering, CAD, or relevant technical field.  An undergraduate degree (B.S. / B.Engr.) is preferred.
•    Experience: 5 years industry experience.
