Regional Vice President (Hotels & Resorts) | Columbia Hospitality

Location: Seattle, Washington

We’re seeking an experienced and driven Regional Vice President (RVP) to lead a diverse portfolio of full- and limited-service hotels and resorts and conference centers across the Pacific Northwest. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on results, data, and developing top-performing teams through inspiring leadership. This is Seattle based with 2-3 days likely in our home office and the remainder of the week spent supporting properties within the assigned portfolio. As regions fluctuate, property assignments and/or geographic oversight may also adapt. This specific RVP assignment includes properties with heavy focus on group/catering business and therefore strong experience in this discipline is required.

As RVP, you’ll partner closely with ownership, corporate leadership, and General Managers to deliver exceptional financial results, elevate operations, and strengthen guest and team engagement. You’ll use your sharp analytical skills and deep financial expertise to maximize profitability, ensure operational consistency, and create raving fans.

What you’ll do:

The Brass Tacks

  • Provides overall direction and leadership to General Managers and regional teams, ensuring alignment with company goals, values, and brand standards.
  • Leads financial performance management across all assigned assets—monitoring P&L statements, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partners with property leadership to prepare annual business plans, including operating, capital, and marketing plans that support company objectives and ownership expectations.
  • Partners with revenue management, sales and marketing to develop and executive pricing and revenue strategies to maximize profitability
  • Reviews and approves significant operating expenses and capital expenditures
  • Oversees capital planning, major renovations, and asset protection initiatives to maintain and enhance property value.
  • Responsible for one’s own objective key results (OKR’s) as well as supporting direct reports in achieving theirs
  • Direct liaison to ownership groups, community organizations, city officials, industry associations and public relations entities
  • Supports succession planning, leadership development, and performance management across assigned properties.
  • Directs applicable training on job standards and areas of responsibility in partnership with the learning and development team.
  • Leverages data and analytics to inform operational decisions, assess market performance, and enhance financial outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, local regulations, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates exemplary leadership by cultivating a high performing, team member and guest-centric culture that drives team engagement, operational excellence and brand awareness

  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned by senior leadership to support departmental and organizational goals.

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive hospitality leadership experience, including experience as a General Manager and multi-property or regional leader in upscale or luxury hotels/resorts with an emphasis in group/catering business.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success in P&L management, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical reporting.
  • Experience with independent, boutique, lifestyle, or resort brands preferred.
  • Working knowledge of all applicable laws, codes and regulations for Seattle and Washington State
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write contracts, reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals.
  • Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results
  • Proven ability to lead through others, inspire teams, and achieve high performance in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with pre-opening, turnarounds, and major renovations highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to build effective relationships with owners, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of operational systems, revenue management, and financial reporting tools.
