What Success Looks Like:
Your Impact
- Responsible for safely applying chemical and fertilizer sprays to golf course
- Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and repair of all maintenance department tools, equipment and safety features are in accordance with established procedures and budgets.
- Oversee course setup for daily play and tournaments, ensuring proper hole locations, tee markers, and overall course presentation.
- Ensure all maintenance and engineering storerooms and work areas are kept in a clean and orderly manner and storing all tools, equipment and spare parts in proper location.
- Assists with team work scheduling and training
- Responsible for the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
- Responsible to complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to after-hour calls as necessary.
- Reports and addresses unsafe conditions immediately.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- 2–4-year Turf Management degree preferred
- Must possess or be able to obtain a state pesticide applicator’s license within 90 days of employment.
- Must be able to complete all types of work orders generated for Maintenance
- Must have a general understanding of Golf Course Maintenance and Golf Course set-up, irrigation and irrigation repairs
- Must have knowledge and ability to safely apply fertilizer and chemical applications
- Ability to perform maintenance and general repair.
- Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations.
