POSITION TITLE: Varsity/Junior Varsity Assistant Football Coach (Job Description)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assist the head coach in planning, organizing, and conducting practices, training sessions, and competitions.
- Teach and reinforce sports specific skills, techniques, and team strategies.
- Supervised student athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and positive character development.
- Provide encouragement, mentorship, and constructive feedback to student athletes.
- Assist with game preparation, opponent scouting, and in game coaching responsibilities.
- Help monitor student athlete performance, attendance, and academic progress. Ensure the safety and well-being of student athletes by following established safety procedures and protocols.
- Assist with setup, maintenance, inventory, and distribution of equipment and uniforms.
- Support compliance with league, school, organizational, and athletic department rules and policies.
- Communicate effectively with coaches, student athletes, parents, administrators, and officials.
- Assist with team logistics, scheduling, travel arrangements, and event coordination.
- Attend required meetings, practices, competitions, and professional development activities.
LOCATION: Columbia Borough High/Middle School – Hill Campus
STATUS: Seasonal
CONTRACT: Supplemental
