Duties
- Engage with visitors to educate them about available animals, their needs, and adoption procedures
- Review assessments of animals’ temperaments and health to match them with suitable adopters
- Provide guidance on pet care, veterinary needs, and training techniques to new pet owners
- Maintain detailed records of each adoption process, including health history and behavioral notes
- Promote responsible pet ownership
Requirements
- Prior experience with animal handling, including dog training, veterinary technician or assistant roles, or kennel experience (preferred, not required)
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Experience working with a variety of animals, including dogs and cats, is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion
