Pallet Dismantler 

Location: Dover, PA

Pay: $11.00/hr starting out and a weekly attendance bonus. 

Job description:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Pallet Dismantling:
  • Operate the pallet dismantling machine, ensuring safe and efficient dismantling of inbound pallets.
  • As the pusher, push pallets through the machine; as the puller, pull dismantled pallets through the machine.
  • Change broken or loose blades to ensure continuous operation.
  • Unjam pallets or boards stuck in the machine, maintaining minimal downtime.
• Quality Control & Prep:
  • Ensure pallets are free of debris before dismantling.
  • Dismantle pallets in a manner that minimizes damage and cut marks to the materials.
  • Properly prepare dismantled parts by removing protruding nails, screws, and other materials that could affect further processing.
  • Send quality recycled parts to the lumber sorter for further processing.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand for the full shift
• Ability to read a tape measure is required.
• Works well with others
• Self-driven and able to keep up in a fast-paced, physical job
• Reliable and shows up to work on time

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Occasional voluntary overtime
