Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and confident Check-Out Chiropractic Assistant to serve as the “Boss of Tomorrow” in our office. This role focuses on patient accounts, financial coordination, scheduling, and ensuring patients leave with a clear plan and excellent experience.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Check-Out & Experience
- Check out patients after appointments and ensure a smooth exit process
- Clearly explain next steps, care plans, and upcoming visits
- Help patients feel confident and informed about their treatment plans
Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule future visits, consultations, and follow-ups
- Reschedule missed appointments and maintain accurate schedules
- Coordinate care plans and map out patient appointments
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Manage patient accounts and enter transactions
- Collect payments (services, plans, retail products)
- Set up and explain financial agreements and payment plans
- Verify and interpret insurance coverage (BCBS, UHC/Optum, Aetna, Medicare)
- Assist with basic insurance-related questions
- Prepare and process daily financial reports and deposits
Communication & Office Support
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions
- Communicate with doctors regarding patient care plans and needs
- Promote workshops, events, and office initiatives
Patient Engagement
- Support patient recognition programs (Patient of the Week, etc.)
- Manage testimonials and patient feedback
- Encourage participation in workshops and wellness programs
Daily & Weekly Tasks
- Balance and reconcile daily income
- Prepare end-of-day financial reports and documentation
- Track patient visit metrics and collections
- Assist with weekly reporting and team meetings
- Review and maintain accurate patient account records
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable discussing finances and payment options with patients
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Previous front desk, billing, or healthcare experience preferred
