What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Warehouse Lead position at Columbia Distributing?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and train a team that performs duties related to shipping, receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, loading, rotation, check-in, re-packing and security of products.
- Ensure all products are rotated during receiving, replenishment, picking, repacking and returns activities according to company standards.
- Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards established by management.
- Communicate with supervisors and provide feedback related to shift activity, personnel issues, mechanical and system failures, and logistical issues for assigned area.
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with through your job.
- Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- High School diploma or GED required
Licenses/Certifications:
- For all warehouse equipment
- Minimum of 18 years of age
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years warehouse experience, with logistics or material handling preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent time management skills while working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
Physical Requirements:
- Lift/Carry/Push/Pull 50 lbs. repetitively and up to 100 lbs.
- Push/Pull 165 lbs. kegs
- Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/ use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
- Climb stairs/ladder
- Work mostly indoors, occasionally outdoors
