Established family style , patient -focused general dentistry practice with oral surgery and implant treatments in West Los Angeles is looking for a full time , motivated dental assistant to join our team and provide quality care to our patients. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. The ideal candidate for this position should be comfortable working with a variety of patients, oral surgery and implant experience is a plus. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. New graduates are welcomed to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Assist with dental laboratory procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Perform basic medical coding for dental procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program , x-ray license
- Current certification in dental assisting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment, new graduates are welcomed to apply.
