Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments through POS or cashiering systems
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and kitchen procedures to ensure food safety compliance
- Clear tables efficiently, bussing dishes and resetting tables for new guests
- Provide guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, and resolving concerns professionally
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas in accordance with sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during service
Skills
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items through effective sales techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or nightlife environments preferred
- Familiarity with breakfast, brunch, and lunch is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
