The server is responsible for greeting customers warmly, presenting menus, taking accurate food and beverage orders and delivering them promptly, addressing any needs or concerns, and ensuring tables remain clean and organized, while maintaining a friendly and attentive demeanor.
Essential Functions:
Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously.
Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and server stations.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Handle guest payments and process transactions accurately.
Assists all guests in a sincere and professional manner, meeting and exceeding customer service expectations in order to ensure guest satisfaction without sacrificing restaurant standards.
Proactively solves problems and looks for opportunities to improve operations.
Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area to effectively assist guests.
Keeps immediate supervisor or manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken; also, provides potential solutions to the problems noticed.
Ensures that guest issues are dealt with appropriately. If outside the bounds of authority or scope of job, promptly brings the matter to the attention of hotel management.
Adheres to all company policy and procedures, safety procedures, Health Department, and other regulatory requirements.
Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
