Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Coordinator to organize, plan, schedule, and monitor activities consistent with the Community STEM Learning Center mission. This position collaborates with multiple departments to establish and execute events and programs at CBC and with local organizations, higher education partners, and school districts to promote access to STEM learning opportunities. This position reports to the Director for Community STEM Learning Center.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to the Director for Community STEM Learning Center in support of student-centered programming, development and implementation of STEM programs and activities related to and services within the Battelle Community STEM Learning Center;
- Provide primary intake and customer service to students, staff, faculty, community partners and the public; resolve problems and respond to inquiries regarding programs and services;
- Purchase and procurement of materials needed to implement programming for STEM related grants and sponsorships;
- Maintain STEM Center inventories and supplies;
- Attend STEM related meetings and professional development opportunities with, or in place of, the STEM Center Director, as requested/required;
- Attend and participate in college scheduled activities, which include but not limited to graduation, open house/recruiting events as assigned, and required meetings;
- Assist Director with the management of Advisory Board, which includes taking recording minutes, emailing board and keeping advisory board informed with current information; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; and
- Two (2) years of administrative office support/clerical and customer service experience.

Terms of Employment
This position is a full-time, overtime eligible, classified staff position. The typical work hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; however, must be available to work a flexible schedule when prior notice is given by the College.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including having the ability to move materials on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc. and travel between buildings on campus. Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
Working Conditions/Work Environment
Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
