Colson Group is seeking a Product Engineering Intern in our Saint Joseph, MI location. The Product Engineering Intern is responsible for performing design-related Product Engineering activities as needed, including but not limited to: CAD, product print alteration or generation, specification development, lab testing, report writing, and sample preparation. The successful candidate must be able to function well in a matrix organization and have the ability to participate and communicate across all departments effectively.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with Product Engineers and others to determine requirements and communicate with other functions in the development of new products or changed products
• Execute design and analysis tasks associated with product development
• Assist in testing when required
• Work with designers to create finished models and drawings
• Hands-on support of engineering and concept builds (including assembly/welding/testing/etc.)
• Create, Maintain, Implement, and adhere to Product Engineering standards
