What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Support Tech - Non-Certified-76 Full Time 9:30a-6p Shift (with Weekends as necessary) position at Colquitt Regional Medical Center?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Obtains and processes specimens from inpatients and outpatients according to CRMC laboratorypolicy/procedures using correct sample identification and sufficient sample quantity for the performance oflaboratory tests. Register patients in computer system and place orders accurately for reporting and billing ofpatient test results.
Contributes to exceptional patient satisfaction by establishing a compassionate environment by timely responses to patients' needs, open communication and providing support.
Contributes to safety and quality care by relaying information via charting and communicating to teammembers.
Attends meetings, classes, and clinical rotations as determined by program.
Communicates clearly with instructors, staff, and patients.
Complies with privacy and confidentiality policies related to utilization of the medical record.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience
Preferred- 2 - 3 years: CLINIC, HOSPITAL OR ED COLLECTION EXPERIENCE
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- Medical Assistant
- PHLEBOTOMY
