Position Summary
The Sales Representative position is responsible for the profitable sale of Colortech, Inc.’s products to existing and potential customers, within a specified geographical territory and or market segment(s). This involves developing long-term, value-added relationships with existing and new customers.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensures that personal efforts result in meeting or exceeding the annual sales volume and margin budget per territory
- Maintains contacts to service existing and potential customers. Identifies customer requirements, aids with problem solving and translates this into the sale of product and service
- Assimilates and practices total quality management principles and value selling.
- Develops, implements, and monitors annual sales plan for the assigned territory. Plans calls two weeks in advance and identifies target accounts and major customers to achieve sales budget
- Prepares reports and documentation for sales records, this includes monthly sales performance reports, forecasts, reports follow-ups on customer complaints, competitive activities, and market intelligence, call reports and market share analysis
- Provides data for identification of new product needs and end-use segments. Provides recommendations for product pricing
- Develops customer and competitor profiles
- Demonstrates an understanding of and a commitment to the spirit of total quality and continuous improvement in performing the position duties
- Travel as required and agreed to as per call frequency established by CRM
- Qualify and develop leads assigned by Sales Leadership

Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proven sales ability and good negotiating skills.
- Ability to use a computer and provide data entry.
Education and Experience
- College degree combined with a minimum of three- (3) year’s work experience and or plastics processing or the equivalent experience is preferred.
- Training or courses in plastics material processing, business, or chemical background preferred.
