CRS was designed from its inception to provide the most effective, cutting-edge neuropsychiatric treatments with a focus on improving brain health and quality of life for those suffering from common mental health, substance use disorders, and chronic pain.
Our centers provide advanced medical therapies, including, but not limited to, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Ketamine infusion, Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, and neuropsychiatric medication management. CRS strives to provide high-quality, collaborative care to military veterans, civilian first responders, their family members, and the Greater Colorado Springs and Monument, Colorado communities.
Job Summary:
Colorado Recovery Solutions (CRS) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller with comprehensive knowledge of the claims lifecycle. The ideal candidate is experienced in claim submission, coding, payment posting, denial management, insurance communications, and accounts receivable (AR) reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial integrity of a high-reliability, multi-specialty behavioral health practice.
Scope of Duties: Essential Functions
- Review coded data and submit accurate claims to insurance carriers
- Verify all claim details prior to submission, including charges, ICD coding, and patient demographics
- Conduct insurance benefit verification, prior authorization, and reauthorization processes per payor requirements
- Navigate CMS billing guidelines and maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies
- Post payments, reconcile accounts, and manage payment collections
- Work denials and rejections to recover claim payments
- Create patient invoices and cost estimates; assist with financial counseling and payment plans
- Respond promptly to billing-related inquiries from patients, internal staff, providers, and insurance companies
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely authorization and utilization management
- Generate and interpret AR reports
- Maintain accurate documentation across the full revenue cycle
- Handle Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and insurance correspondence with proficiency
- Protect patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
- Uphold and promote the CRS mission: "Providing hope and healing for treatment-resistant and complex neuropsychiatric conditions."

- In-depth knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims processing, and billing software
- Understanding of medical office procedures and behavioral health terminology
- Familiarity with CMS guidelines and insurance benefit structures
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets for data tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
Qualifications :
Required
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Experience: At least 1 year in a Medical Billing position
- Experience billing through an EHR
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance benefits, claims processing, and CMS frameworks
- Must be able to work full-time in the office.
Preferred
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent certification
- 1 years of experience in behavioral health medical billing
- Experience working with patients who are suffering from common mental health disorders, including related ICD-10 diagnosis codes
- Military Veteran status, military spouse, or previous work in military/government helping agencies or underserved populations
- Experience with Google Workspace
