Line Technician

Summary/Objective 

CNS is seeking a Line Technician to improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Inspecting internal components to include transformers, switches, normal open points, and reclosers
• Performing thermal scans of connections
• Inspecting fault indicators and surge arresters

Essential Functions

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products for data collection and entry of information into our CC&B system
• Experience in an electric lineman capacity
• Knowledge of safety procedures with electric vaults, transformers, and switch entries
• Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, squat, write, and type

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and distinguish electronic system sections and wiring.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday, one hour lunch.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)

This position must be able to pass a Federal Background Check.
