Job Title: Military Community Planner I
Summary / Objective
The Military Community Planner I supports planning efforts through data collection, analysis, and coordination activities. This role involves assisting with workshops, conducting research, and preparing reports and meeting summaries. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and the ability to gather and analyze facility and operational data to support planning initiatives.
Duties / Responsibilities

Collect and analyze existing conditions data to support planning efforts

Support preparation and coordination of planning workshops

Document and produce meeting minutes, summaries, and reports

Conduct research and become familiar with applicable planning guidelines

Assist in analyzing facility configuration and utilization

Participate in field data collection, including interviews with operational leadership
-
Utilize Microsoft Office and other software tools to support analysis and deliverables
-
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support project objectives
Essential Functions

Independently conduct research and synthesize findings into clear reports

Accurately document meetings and project discussions

Analyze qualitative and quantitative data related to facilities and operations

Support planning processes through organization, coordination, and communication

Effectively use required software tools (Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, Adobe Suite)

Communicate professionally with stakeholders, including leadership personnel
Physical Demands

Ability to travel frequently, including nationally and internationally

Ability to conduct fieldwork, including walking and assessing facilities

Ability to participate in in-person meetings, workshops, and site visits

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Qualifications:
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in urban, regional, or community planning; transportation, environmental, energy, or sustainable planning or design; architecture; landscape architecture; economics; civil engineering, or a related field

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Familiarity with ArcGIS and Adobe Suite products required

Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software preferred but not required

Ability to conduct research and support data analysis efforts

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed

Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

U.S. Citizenship required per contract requirements
