Job Summary:
We're hiring an assistant who can work part-time. You will be working with the Provider and another teacher. Color Wings Preschool is an in-home multicultural early childhood education program. We aim to create a safe, sustainable, culturally responsive, and welcoming learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Check in and out students
- Work with MECP to help the students meet their goals
- Ensure that the classroom is always in ratio (10:1)
- Provide a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
- Support children with special or individual needs
- Help plan and prep materials for class activities
- Support children assisting students with toileting needs, including diapering, washing
hands, and ensuring a clean and sanitary bathroom environment
- General clean-up
- Make daily breakfast with schedule Menu
- Continuous training throughout employment
- Interact with children throughout the day
Experience:
- One year qualifying experience working with children or ECE Degree preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Patient, nurturing, and compassionate demeanor
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Certification in Early Childhood Education is a plus
