Color Me Mine Lexington is a contemporary ceramic and craft studio offering customers bisqueware, paint, materials, artistic instruction, and glazing services for paint-your-own pottery. The studio will be the premier destination for creative expression, community engagement, and personalized artistry in Lexington, Kentucky. The core purpose is to provide an accessible, stress-relieving, and fun-filled environment where individuals, families, and groups can connect, celebrate, and unlock their artistic potential by creating high-quality, hand-painted ceramic keepsakes, all while rigorously upholding the established brand standards and operational excellence of Color Me Mine.
Studio staff perform tasks related to the efficient maintenance and running of the operations at the studio level. This position is responsible for assisting the Studio Manager and Studio Owners with all daily studio operations in accordance with the Color Me Mine standards, processes, procedures, and culture. The Studio Staff represents the Color Me Mine Brand by providing excellence in customer service and performance of operational tasks. The Studio Staff is responsible for promoting the Color Me Mine Brand and Experience with pride.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains high customer service standards
- Maintains Color Me Mine product knowledge to identify customers’ needs and best assist customers
- Maintains Color Me Mine technique knowledge to best assist customers
- Maintains Color Me Mine pricing knowledge to best assist customers
- Promotes Color Me Mine events and parties
- Handles customer pick ups
- Maintains constant cleanliness of the studio to preserve Color Me Mine’s Brand image
- Reports defective items to the Studio Manager (Burned-out lightbulbs, broken items, etc, …)
- Answers phone and records and reports message to the Studio Manager or Studio Owner accordingly
- Performs Opening and Closing tasks
- Performs sales transactions
- Adheres to inventory and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) count schedules
- Delivers a world class customer experience to all visitors of Color Me Mine

Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older and legally able to work in the United States
- Must be able to stand for hours, walk, bend, squat, reach above shoulders, and lift boxes or inventory items up to 50 pounds
- Must be reliable and dedicated with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
- Must have strong and well-developed friendly communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with others in person, by phone, and in writing
- Ability to remain calm, composed and professional during challenging situations
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment with emphasis on strong customer service skills
- Ability to use software and technology adopted by Color Me Mine
Starting compensation is $11 per hour tips. Average tips at Color Me Mine studios around the U.S. are $4-$5 per hour, with increased tip averages on weekends.
