Job Title: Delivery Driver non-CDL
Atlantic Tire is currently seeking a full-time Non-CDL Delivery Driver in Wilmington, NC! Full benefit package offered including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) company match, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), paid holidays, vacation time, company paid life insurance, and short-term disability.
Previous experience preferred. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a drug screen and have an approved motor vehicle and criminal background report.
Summary
Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up tires. May load and unload vehicle; as well as other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the competencies and or ability required. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The truck may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Education And Experience
High school diploma or equivalency, a minimum of one year commercial driver experience required.

- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Properly document goods delivered or loaded.
- Load and unload trucks
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
- Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment: Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, or passenger vehicles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, secure, and move products safely using hands, arms, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Warehouse Operations Knowledge: Understand basic warehouse processes including receiving, picking, staging, and inventory handling.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries and pickups.
- Performing General Physical Activities: Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
