Qualifications:
- Must be able to use common business computer software and perform data entry and retrieval onto manufacturing / inventory control databases
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass a Background / Drug Screen
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Support day-to-day paint shop performance
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of paint system controls, application equipment, curing ovens and filtration systems.
- Working knowledge of paint department processes and principles, including modern coating technologies.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or team lead roles and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 6-8 painters, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship across all projects
- Coordinate project schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines
- Prepare surfaces through masking, sanding, and other prep work to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint using hand tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and power tools for smooth finishes on various surfaces.
- Able to clean and maintain equipment
- Ensure attention to detail
- Maintain safety protocols on the shop floor by ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards
- Responsible for shop cleanliness
- Work with other departments as needed
- Attend daily production meetings and follow daily production schedule
- Work closely with Paint Production Supervisor
- Work is primarily performed in a paint shop and production floor environment
- Assist Supervisor with disciplinary actions as needed
Exposure to fumes, chemicals and manufacturing noise.
