Duties
- Provide clinical supervision and support to nursing staff across various departments.
- Coordinate patient assessments, ensuring thorough evaluation of vital signs, physiology, anatomy, and medical history to inform appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Oversee patient documentation using PCC to ensure accurate medical records management.
- Conduct patient care activities including IV insertion, venipuncture, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration with precision and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to HIPAA privacy standards and infection control protocols.
- Monitor staffing levels, assign duties efficiently, and support staff development through coaching and training initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse in a similar leadership role within a longterm care facility.
- Hands-on experience with PCC systems for documentation of patient care activities.
- Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, vital signs assessment, and basic life support certification.
- Familiarity with medical records management and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation and effective communication among healthcare providers.
- Ability to assess patients comprehensively through patient assessment techniques rooted in physiology knowledge and anatomy expertise.
- Prior experience managing diverse patient populations across age groups including geriatrics in long-term care environments.
