Duties
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and long-term care regulations
- Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation using EMR/EHR system Point Click Care (PCC)
- Oversee medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, etc. with precise attention to detail
- Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage patient flow in facility by prioritizing urgent and routine care
- Conduct clinical evaluations including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations for patients of all ages
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with current registration in the applicable state or region
- Proven experience in nursing care settings
- Demonstrated expertise in geriatrics, dementia care including Alzheimer’s or memory care units
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology for accurate documentation
- Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized care like tube feeding
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR platforms to meet documentation standards
- Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, first aid procedures, and basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Excellent caregiver communication skills coupled with leadership qualities to guide nursing teams effectively
