Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), working a dynamic overnight schedule from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and catheter care.
- Assist with medical procedures such as tube feedings, venipuncture, suturing, and sterile processing techniques.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatments, manage acute pain or respiratory issues, and utilize airway management or ventilator support when necessary.
- Document all patient interactions meticulously within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or home & community care services.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or memory impairments in settings such as assisted living or memory care units.
- Support infection control protocols and participate in diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging or laboratory testing procedures.
- Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness and disease prevention strategies tailored to geriatrics and pediatric populations.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current CPR/BLS certification.
- Prior experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to acute and chronic conditions.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including seniors, children, individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Ability to perform complex medical procedures such as IV insertions, catheterizations, phlebotomy, and sterile technique confidently.
- Excellent assessment skills for triage situations involving urgent care or emergency medicine scenarios.
