Role Description This Business Development Representative role is a hybrid position based in Overland Park, KS, with flexibility for some work from home. The individual in this role will identify and qualify new business opportunities, focusing on employer groups that can benefit from Colonial Life’s workplace solutions. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and lead generation through phone, email, social media, and networking, as well as managing a sales pipeline and setting meetings with key decision-makers. The role involves conducting needs assessments, presenting benefit solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to support enrollment and implementation. The Business Development Representative will also maintain accurate records in CRM systems, meet activity and revenue targets, and participate in ongoing training to stay informed about products, compliance requirements, and market trends.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales and Business Development abilities to build relationships, present solutions, and drive revenue growth.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal, written, and presentation capabilities for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to be on-site in Overland Park, KS and work remotely as needed.
- Experience in insurance, employee benefits, or B2B services is preferred but not required.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
