Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid Benefits Specialist role based in Buffalo, NY, with some work-from-home flexibility. THIS IS ALSO A 1099 ROLE AND YOUR COMPENSATION IS DIRECTLY TIED TO YOUR PERFORMANCE. The Benefits Specialist will assist clients with benefits administration, provide guidance on policies such as the U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and ensure compliance with insurance requirements. Additional responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, explaining benefit offerings, and troubleshooting issues in collaboration with internal teams. A key focus of the role is on building strong relationships with clients and ensuring positive experiences during benefits enrollment and utilization.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Benefits Administration and understanding of insurance processes
- Knowledge of U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and related policies
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Attention to detail, organizational abilities, and problem-solving expertise
- Experience in benefits, insurance, or human resources preferred
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
