Role Description The Agency Sales Representative is a contract role responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employers and benefits decision-makers in the Liverpool, NY area. In this hybrid position, the representative will spend part of the time meeting clients in person and attending on-site appointments, with some work from home for prospecting, follow-up, and administrative tasks. Day-to-day activities include identifying and qualifying new business leads, presenting Colonial Life’s workplace benefit solutions, and supporting employers through the enrollment process. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams, preparing proposals, tracking sales activities, and providing ongoing service to existing accounts to support retention and growth.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or B2B solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefit products in clear, accessible language.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple prospects, client meetings, and follow-up activities in a hybrid work environment.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM tools, virtual meeting platforms, and basic office software for documentation and reporting.
