Requirements
School Bus Driver CDL with S & P endorsements, Air Brakes beneficial; must pass appropriate medical examinations; must be able to lift 50 pounds; must meet all other Pennsylvania qualifications for School Bus Driver.
Must have basic computer skills to utilize both CIU-20 computer-based and web-based programs .
Description
Guaranteed Daily Substitute Drivers who are assigned work on a daily basis filling in for other absent drivers and monitors as needed. Routes as assigned in Northampton and Monroe County depending on location of run.
Transport students with special needs; operate and maintain assigned vehicle in a safe and efficient manner; follow safety regulations and traffic laws; maintain discipline; establish positive relationships; meet adaptive physical needs of students by assisting on/off vehicles, proper utilization of equipment, and handling/securing wheelchairs; inform parents of any delays or adjusted route times; maintain up-to-date: route schedule, student roster, student emergency information, mileage reports; pre and post-trip inspections; other duties as assigned.
