Laundry Aide / Overnight Houseperson

The Colonial Hotel is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Aide / Overnight Houseperson to join our hotel team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping a hotel clean, organized, and welcoming for our guests and who is comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
Position Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washers and dryers and properly sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels.
- Maintain an organized and clean laundry area throughout the shift.
- Restock linen closets and housekeeping supplies as needed.
- Assist the housekeeping team with general overnight cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
- Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, entrances, and other assigned areas of the hotel.
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the property.
- Assist with light cleaning and other duties as needed to support hotel operations.
- Respond to overnight housekeeping needs and guest requests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, damaged equipment, or other problems to management.
- Follow hotel cleanliness, safety, and security procedures.
- Work independently and stay productive during overnight hours.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by hotel management.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel, housekeeping, laundry, custodial, or cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry bags, linens, supplies, and cleaning equipment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical cleaning duties.
- Comfortable working overnight and maintaining a consistent work pace with limited supervision.
- Friendly and professional attitude when interacting with guests and coworkers.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to lift 100 Lbs.

Schedule and hours to be discussed during the interview. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
