Inventory Control / Driver Check In

Job Overview

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

As the AM Inventory/DCI you will check in returning route drivers by verifying product, money, processing data and communicating information by email to confirm credits. You will hold drivers accountable for completing paperwork accurately and entering information into the WMS to post for customer orders. You will also systematically move products within the WMS accurately to the assigned location. The position requires functions to be carried out in an efficient timely manner, ability to work with a sense of urgency and to hold oneself accountable while collaborating with Inventory control and other departments to get results.

Duties

• Inspect cleanliness of truck/trailer with driver.
• Ensure all equipment returns in proper condition (Pallet jack, hand trucks, straps).
• D.O.T. forms inspected as assigned.
• Reconciliation of all driver paperwork and money.
• Ensure the credit process is followed for damaged/returned goods
• Ensure money discrepancies and paperwork issues are discovered/corrected while driver is still here.
• Accurately maintain records of inventory.
• Accurately transfer items to correct location both physically and using WMS.
• Accurately perform math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Use Excel spreadsheets to enter data, sort, and do simple math formulas.

Requirements

• Strong attention to Ensure the credit process is followed for damaged/returned goods
• Ensure money discrepancies and paperwork issues are discovered/corrected while driver is still here.
• Verify check amount to invoice and initial on Manifest
• Verify Brinks cash receipt matches total of COD amounts on invoices and initial receipt.
• Collaborate with other departments to research and follow up on missing items or discrepancies with urgency.
• Capable of setting an expectation of completing paperwork properly and holding drivers accountable.
• Accurately maintain records of inventory.
• Accurately transfer items to correct location both physically and using WMS.
• Accurately perform math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Use Excel spreadsheets to enter data, sort, and do simple math formulas.
• Must effectively read and communicate professionally in English verbally and electronically.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs. Overtime may be required.
• Operate electric pallet jack and forklift.
• Unload pallets, returned items, and hand trucks once verified.
• Manually lift empty pallets to move them into place for credit processing.
• Work closely with AR manager to solve any customer balances or credit issues.
• Perform cycle counts as needed to support proper credit returns.
• Responsible for collecting and documenting any issues daily.
• Move processed items systematically to the pick locations and physically put in pick location as needed.
• Inform inventory and sales supervisors of any incorrect item returns.
• Send daily shift recap email.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, leadership skills and great organizational skills with an eye for details.
• Ability communicate effectively in English - Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to prioritize, adapt to change and work well under pressure
• Focus on work and minimize interruptions
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Outlook perform basic computer related tasks and using of ( RF) system.
• Tracking, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Analyzing Information, Communication Skills, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skill

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
