AM Receiving Associate

Located in Tampa, NCD’s Florida Division, Colonial Distributing, was established in 1998. Over the last 25 years, Colonial has grown to be the area’s top grocery distributor. Setting them apart from other family businesses is their two cash and carry locations, which help to increase diverse product accessibility and decrease shipping and delivery times.

We are seeking a Receiving Associate for our Warehouse.

Work schedule - 5AM -1:30PM, M-F

The primary function of the Receiving Associate is to receive in deliveries of product and assist in maintaining inventory. Must have previous experience receiving multiple items in a PO, receiving and logging temperature-controlled items, and experience operating forklift.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Unload vendor deliveries

· Moves product to assigned locations

· Accurately maintain various forms and logs, analyzes data via computer or handheld device and written reports

· Operate Company warehouse management system software and RF scanners

· Operate powered equipment such as forklifts or reach lifts and pallet jack to move pallets of merchandise

· Match merchandise to purchase orders

· Sign for shipments received

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· 1 yr previous experience in a warehouse setting

· Previous Experience with RF scanner

· Ability to organize and prioritize workload

· Receiving and logging temperature-controlled items

· Previous experience receiving multiple items on a PO

· Must be able to obtain forklift and powered truck certification.

· Must have strong mental math skills

· Must work well with others and be a leader

· Must be able to maintain safety procedures at all time

· Forklift experience required

Job frequently requires standing, handling objects with hands, standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting over 50 lbs. Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties. Perform in Warehouse environments.

Preferred Education or Experience

High School diploma required.
