We are a small, locally owned senior living community serving a maximum of 48 residents per meal, and we're looking for an experienced Cook to join our culinary team.
Our residents genuinely look forward to mealtime, and we believe good food is one of the best parts of a good day. If you enjoy cooking from scratch, working with fresh ingredients, and getting to know the people you're cooking for, you may love this job.

- 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Thursday–Monday
- Tuesdays & Wednesdays off
- Consistent schedule
- No late nights
What You'll Be Cooking
This isn't a heat-and-serve kitchen. You'll work with fresh proteins and vegetables and prepare meals from our established menus and recipes.
A typical meal offers two entrée choices, four vegetables, four starches, plus several simple "Always Available" options for residents who want something different.
You'll also have opportunities to work with our Culinary Services Director on specials, celebrations and event menus. Some shifts you'll work independently, while others you'll work alongside another member of the culinary team.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve attractive, great-tasting meals for up to 48 residents
- Follow established menus and recipes
- Prep and cook fresh proteins, vegetables and other ingredients
- Help create specials and food for community celebrations and events
- Safely operate kitchen and dishwashing equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen
- Take pride in making meals residents genuinely enjoy
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who knows their way around a commercial kitchen and can be counted on.
- At least 2 years of commercial kitchen experience
- Comfortable reading and following recipes, menus and food labels
- Able to work independently and stay organized
- Reliable and punctual
- Takes pride in food quality, presentation and a clean kitchen
- Enjoys cooking for people and being part of a close-knit community
