Duties
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring menus meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
- Serve meals with professionalism and warmth, providing excellent food service that emphasizes hospitality and respect.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols.
- Support kitchen operations through food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients using knife skills and culinary techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen equipment, and food storage spaces to uphold health standards.
- Collaborate with dietary team members to cater to special dietary needs or restrictions for individual residents.
- Participate in inventory management by organizing supplies and assisting with ordering or restocking as needed.
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred, with familiarity in menu planning and food preparation.
- Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is advantageous, demonstrating strong food service skills.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper handling, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Culinary experience involving cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal presentation is highly desirable.
- Background in the food industry or kitchen environment that emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail.
