Collyde
Alpharetta, GA Full Time
POSTED ON 2/27/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/27/2026

About the role

Blue Trust’s Family Office is seeking an Advisor who can combine excellent technical financial planning with biblical counsel and team leadership. In this role, you’ll support and partner with a Senior Advisor to serve complex, affluent families—helping them align their finances, stewardship, and legacy with biblical principles.

You’ll also lead and develop a small client-service team, coordinate with subject matter experts, and contribute to the growth of the practice through thoughtful, relationship-driven business development.

What you’ll do

Client Service & Advice

  • Support the Senior Advisor in delivering excellent, faith-based counsel that integrates biblical principles into investment, planning, and life stewardship conversations.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client relationships, providing ongoing counsel, follow-up, and coordination.

  • Listen empathetically and apply biblical principles in financial counseling, life coaching, and planning strategies in a manner consistent with Blue Trust’s approach.

  • Help diagnose client needs, review financial information, and develop comprehensive solutions that align with client goals and objectives.

  • Prepare, interpret, and present new financial plans and periodic reviews, ensuring clients understand recommendations and next steps.

  • Adapt communication style to fit diverse client personalities, preferences, and family dynamics.

  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Advisor and Associate Advisor to initiate and follow up on client meetings, responding promptly to inquiries and action items.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development for Associate Advisors, Financial Planners, and Client Service Associates on the team.

  • Ensure team members are well-equipped, cross-trained, and continually growing in both technical and relational aspects of their roles.

  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts to ensure client engagement objectives are met efficiently and thoroughly.

  • Model and reinforce the company’s Management Language, leadership principles, and core values in all interactions.

  • Maintain the highest compliance standards by following HR guidelines, compliance policies, professional designation requirements, and industry regulations.

Business Development & Practice Growth

  • Support the Senior Advisor in building organizational capacity and seizing business development opportunities within existing and new client relationships.

  • Develop the ability to identify client and prospect needs and confidently articulate how Blue Trust can help, reflecting a clear passion for the mission.

  • Introduce clients to the full range of Blue Trust services where appropriate.

  • Leverage professional and personal networks to identify, cultivate, and refer new prospects.

  • Meet activity and new business goals while continually seeking ways to enhance service to existing clients and bring biblical counsel to new ones.

What we’re looking for

Spiritual & Philosophical Fit

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of both the Old and New Testaments, especially scripture related to money and stewardship, and the ability to integrate this into client counsel.

  • Genuine desire to serve clients and colleagues with excellence in a faith-centered, biblically informed advisory environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to simplify complex financial topics for clients.

  • Proven business development skills including prospecting, networking, and converting leads into new opportunities.

  • Solid technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in financial planning and investment contexts.

  • High level of organization, systems acumen, and attention to detail; able to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.

  • Proactive planner with strong responsiveness to urgent client and team needs.

  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment, while also taking ownership of individual responsibilities.

  • High personal integrity and ability to discreetly handle confidential information.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ability to learn and use industry-specific software platforms.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, financial planning, economics, accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Planner or 2 years as an Advisor in a comparable environment.

  • Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) or other applicable professional designation strongly preferred.

  • Advisors are required to have or obtain an industry-recognized designation (e.g., CFP, CPA, CFA, CMA, ChFC, etc.) within 2 years of starting in the role.

  • Must meet all professional requirements to register in the state where the office is located and any additional states where clients reside.
