A Principle Specialist Procurement acquires goods and services for an organization by sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers. Their key responsibilities include ensuring quality and compliance, managing budgets and contracts, and optimizing costs to enhance efficiency and meet operational needs. Position is 100% onsite at our Haltom City, TX location. What You Will Do: Carries out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFQs, supplier relationships and cost accountability for the life cycle of the programs/product. Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. Prepares purchase orders and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly. Monitors delivery assurance to ensure early identification of shortages, expediting and managing escalated situations when they occur, engaging suppliers to resolve problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. Participates in solutions for issues such as sub-process suppliers, quality and technical assistance and identifying root causes that impact on-time delivery and quality. Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance to contractual obligations. Communicates and reports on information about order status, changes, or cancellations, acting as liaison between Supply Chain and other Interior Products functional teams such as Quality, Engineering, Planning and Operations. May manage small projects or processes. Works autonomously with limited oversight from management. Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals. Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain management. Minimum 2 years’ experience managing Purchase Orders. Qualifications We Prefer Military purchasing experience. SAP experience. Time Management, working in a fast paced environment. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
