What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Coordinator position at Collier County Supervisor of Elections?
The purpose of this classification is to maintain and coordinate all communications within the Supervisor of Elections office. This includes but is not limited to election worker communications and records, as well as press releases, social media, and website functions. Recruit, manage, and organize election worker schedules for training purposes and election assignments. Adheres to Federal and State Election Laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops, manages, and distributes communications for the Supervisor of Elections office, including oversight of the office website and social media platforms. Produces monthly newsletters, press releases, voter guides, and a variety of voter education and outreach materials. Assists in the development and implementation of strategic promotional communications, including paid advertising campaigns, radio and television advertisements, and digital media initiatives.
Prepares and manages the annual Communications budget, including expenditures related to print and electronic communications, marketing materials, and other associated costs.
Supports departmental outreach initiatives in collaboration with staff and assists with election operations, including election worker recruitment, staffing, and training; development of training materials; distribution and maintenance of election supplies; and call center support during election periods.
Demonstrates proficiency in operating standard office equipment, including personal computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and related technology necessary to perform essential job functions. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience in graphic design and multimedia software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, and Constant Contact, as well as the ability to quickly learn new software applications as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or a closely related field, supplemented by three years of work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
