About the Role
This role supports daily production operations and assists in creating a conducive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the production shop, including customer service, quality control, work orders, and retail sales
- Assist instructors by guiding and supporting students as they work toward industry certification(s)
- Operate and maintain the point‑of‑sale (POS) system
- Receive funds and ensure timely daily deposits
- Assist with ordering materials, parts, and maintaining accurate inventory control
- Maintain student, shop, and program records
- Assist with audits, internal accounts, reports, correspondence, and communication tasks
- Monitor compliance with federal and state safety, accounting, and program regulations
- Support instructional and/or early childhood programs through small‑group assistance, observation, and preparation of materials
- Mentor students by offering guidance, encouragement, and professional support
- Demonstrate dependability, integrity, and respect for individual differences
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate degree from a college or technical school OR
- Two years of related experience and/or training in a production shop, program lab, or closely related setting
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Basic computer proficiency required
