Technology Leadership with Purpose:
- Administer and support the Canvas LMS and integrated academic technologies
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students
- Collaborate with IT, Instructional Design, HR, and Online Learning teams to enhance system functionality
Collaborative & Impactful Work:
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with Canvas and third-party vendors
- Manage course creation, enrollment, and user roles within the LMS
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Strategic System Management:
- Install and configure updates, LTI integrations, and software components
- Develop policies, procedures, and strategic plans for LMS use
- Create user documentation, tutorials, and technical guides to support adoption
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Support
- Oversee daily LMS operations and user support
- Troubleshoot technical issues and manage integrations
Collaboration & Planning
- Work cross-functionally to align LMS with institutional goals
- Contribute to strategic planning and infrastructure growth
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain user guides and system documentation
- Ensure compliance with accessibility, privacy, and IT policies
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Information Systems, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of LMS administration experience (Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard, Moodle)
- Experience with LTI integrations, directory services, HTML, and SIS platforms (e.g., Ellucian Colleague or Banner)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
